This is a replacement pinion for our 36mm Series Gearmotors with a first stage of 4:1 and a Speed 400 mounting pattern (2.3mm shaft). It is used for the 16:1, 20:1, 64:1, 100:1, and 256:1 gearboxes.
Using the appropriate pinion, any motor with aSpeed 400 mounting patternand 2.3mm shaft can be used with the 36mm gearboxes.
Note: As a general rule, if the overall reduction is divisible by 4, than the first stage is 4:1, otherwise the first stage is 5:1.
Please note that there are two different styles of 36mm gearboxes. This pinion will only work with the gearboxes that come standard with the RS-385 motor.
