These gearmotors are custom made for robotic applications. They feature all metal planetary gears and use two ball bearings to support the shaft. The integrated motor mounts make them easy to integrate into your design and eliminate the cost and complexity of separate motor mounts. These motors feature a threaded shaft with an end tap making it easy to mount a wheel to them.
A durable RS-370 (Speed 300 size) motor comes standard with these gearboxes. If this motor does not meet your needs, it can be easily replaced with any motor having a 2mm shaft and a standard Speed 300 mounting pattern. You can pull the pinion off the included motor with our GWS Micro Gear Puller or purchase a new pinion. We also carry replacement motors if you need one.
These gearmotors are supplied with a threaded shaft. The outside of the shaft is 1/4-20 Left-Hand (reverse) thread, The end tap is #4-40 Right-Hand (standard) thread. The reverse threads on the shaft make it easy to mount a hub and the standard threaded end tap make it easy to use a screw to hold it there. (The opposite direction threads work against each other to keep the hub from unscrewing)
